The 2009 MFSP survey was conducted during a four-week period between 1 May and 26 June 2009. The results are now in.

Results for Petawawa can be viewed in the near future on the PMFRC website. Participants report they continue to have positive experiences and hold the service they received in high regard.

The survey is important.   We have listened to your suggestions and have implemented many new initiatives: we extended the hours for casual child care services, Lil’ Troopers opened, and we intensified our offering second language training.

Your feedback is crucial.

The 2010 MFSP Participant Survey is now being conducted.  We are aiming to increase our response rate to a minimum of 30% or 450 completed questionnaires.  We highly encourage CF members, military spouses and/or extended family members who use our services to participate in the survey.

You can complete the survey at all your PMFRC locations between now and 01 March 2010.

Bookmark and Share 01/19/2010

Third Annual Commissionaires Ottawa
RUN FOR MILITARY FAMILIES
Ottawa-Petawawa: MAY 6-7, 2010

Lead Organizer and Sponsor Commissionaires Ottawa, in partnership with Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Petawawa, is preparing for the Third Annual RUN FOR MILITARY FAMILIES. Since 2008 we have raised nearly $70,000 in support of the Petawawa Military Family Resource Centre (PMFRC) and its mission – which is to enrich the lives of individuals and families of the military community through positive action, education and support.

As a direct result of the positive feedback and support we received from media, politicians, dignitaries, volunteers and citizens in Ottawa and throughout the Ottawa Valley in 2008 and 2009, the list of participants, donors and sponsors this year is already growing and we anticipate another successful outcome. We hope that we can count on your support this year.

For more information on donating, becoming a sponsor or learning more about this event visit the Commissionaires Ottawa website.

Important Notice: Deployment Support Centre Night Light Fire Hazard
Bookmark and Share 12/3/2009
Due to a recent incident involving one of the night lights recently distributed during pre-deployment briefings, it is recommended that their usage be stopped immediately pending investigation.

This night light was 1 of the 381 that was circulated beginning on 19 Nov 09.

Although UL certified and having passed safety inspections for usage in Canada, this one unit appeared to have ignited and could have caused a fire.  Although this event appears to be isolated, it is highly recommended that anyone in possession of this night light stop it's usage and return it to the DSC at the SSCC.
